From a reader, WH: "I don't know why President Bush was reading 'The Stranger', either. I think, if he is interested in Camus, however, he should instead read 'The Plague.' In fact, the political scientist and ex-Air Force officer John Mearsheimer recently told an audience at the Naval War College in R.I. that, when he was at West Point, he was assigned it, in order to understand what was going on in Vietnam.
