Anonymous GOP Senator blocks intel authorization bill -- "first time in 27 years that the bill had failed to pass in before the end of the calendar year." At issue, amendments by Kennedy that would challenge the White House to show the intelligence it had on Iraq, since the White House insists falsely the Congress had the same intelligence. "A congressional report made public last week concluded that Bush and his inner circle had access to more intelligence and reviewed more sensitive material than what was shared with Congress," Dafna Linzer reports.
