The Center for Public Integrity has published a new report asserting that Cheney and his office "unilaterally exempt themselves from long-standing travel disclosure rules followed by the rest of the executive branch." In what way the Vice President's office can simultaneously claim for themselves executive privilege and not subject to the rules of the executive is hard to square, but that's probably why he has made his lawyer his chief of staff. Like Tapped's Sam Rosenfeld, it's almost impossible to stir up any outrage any more about anything that Cheney does. We have come to expect nothing less.

Update: The outrage factor has just gone back up.
