Anonymous has company. Plame name leaker Bob Novak has an interesting column in today's print edition of the Washington Post, leaking the name of the lead author of the National Intelligence estimate on Iraq. That would be the NIE that Bush basically disowned last week at his press conference with Iyad Allawi. By Novak's account, Paul Pillar and the CIA are returning the favor with a steady stream of lightly managed backgrounders disparaging the Bush administration's tendency to ignore the intelligence community's dire forecasts for Iraq. For some reason, the Post does not seem to carry Novak's columns online, and a hasty google search didn't bring the piece up. If someone finds a link, please forward it and I will add it here.
Update: Here it is.
